One of my favorite accents to use and reuse in my home are trunks and suitcases! I love mixing these vintage finds in with modern pieces or natural elements because I think they add so much more to the room than a simple coffee table or storage ottoman would! I also feel like they have more of a story to tell and are each so individual. I have my Grandfathers trunk from when he was in the Navy and I keep all my favorite memory items in it. I even have a couple really beat up trunks in my backyard that I use to store my plant pots in the winter and recycling bottles in the summer. A great way to add additional storage! These lil’treasures are pretty easy to find at garage sales or second-hand stores and shouldn’t be to hard on the pocket book . Take a look at some ideas below to do in your own home.
This stack of trunks is such a statement when you walk in the house! Absolutely LOVE it!
The softness of the blues and whites below and the contrast of the trunk are absolutely perfect! I also Love the words on the trunk being used as a dresser!
