Twas the Night Before Christmas…

Decorating the fireplace mantle for every season and holiday is one of my favorite things to do. I love buying squashes and pumpkins in the fall and then spray painting them to go with my Christmas decor! Two birds with one stone, its affordable and they will last as long as there is no cuts or marks on them 🙂 Throw in a few pretty frames and some old books and you have yourself a beautiful mantle.

Stockings are also one of my favorite parts of  X-mas and every year I go out looking for the perfect stocking set for my growing lil’family. I can never seem to find the right ones and end up using my husbands grey wool socks with the red and white strips, you know the ones 🙂 So this year I thought I would make my own stocking set, but I am not much of a knitter so I turned to good ol’ faithful Burlap! I love the recycled but cozy look of burlap and am super happy with my outcome.   Check out some of the other burlap stockings that I got my inspiration from too!

There has been and elf in my house 🙂 What do you think of my lil’stockings?

  1. Howdy! This post couldn’t be written any better! Looking at this post reminds me of my previous roommate! He constantly kept preaching about this. I most certainly will forward this information to him. Pretty sure he’ll have a good read.
    Thank you for sharing!
