I love when a client of mine turns into a friend and that is exactly what happened with the owner of this lovely farmhouse home. Over the past year and a half, I have been doing custom projects for this new build and I was finally able to see this home first hand. Walking into the front entrance of this place for the first time blew me away!!! I could be slightly bias however as a large amount of my work is displayed throughout the home and we have VERY similar tastes and styles..
When I first met Brit she came to me with samples of her possible wall colours, cabinet colours and counter top choices. The end result is a soft, rustic chic, dreamy white home and I enjoyed having a hand in this beautiful property right from the beginning. She has done a wonderful job pairing the clean, simple finishes of a new home with lovely rustic and vintage elements like the large spool table and antique furnishings.

Her kitchen was probably my favourite room in the home, the large island flows in to a beautiful open concept dining room and family room. She has one of my farmhouse tables and a lovely hutch I did a while back in the dining room. She also fell in love with my ladder light and did a beautiful job adding it as a statement piece in this large area.
The huge wooden mantel was an old beam in a pub for many years and she had it hollowed out and I refinished it to a beautiful dark stain and poly finish.
The HUGE spool table was another piece I did for her using Country Chic Paint Simplicity and achieving a white wash finish.

I love the saloon doors for the his and hers closets. I finished these in a very shabby chic finish using white wash technique with stains and paints.

Probably one of my favourite items in this house is her laundry room sink. Lights are Restoration Hardware and ladder is B Vintage
