Small Town Living

With Christmas fast approaching, I wanted to get this home tour in before all my focus is on festive decor. This home is one of my absolute favourites, belonging to a lovely family in a cozy Alberta small town. The high ceilings and beautiful netrual toned pallet allow for such a grand entrance but the furnishings give a cozy and casual feel.

Enjoy ❤️

The light cream wall color works as a great canvas allowing for her beautiful decor features, such as the big, bold front entrance clock, to be the focal points in the home.

Her floor to ceiling stone fireplace is the perfect amount of subtle texture, this allows the layered pictures on the opening shelving to balance as a focal point in the open concept family room. The stunning orb chandelier fixture is from Restoration Hardware.

Her beautiful homemade blue grey farmhouse table is nested in the kitchen nook with a cozy L shaped built in bench. The comfy pillows are a combination of Homesense finds and Pottery Barn. Adding the wicker chairs is just the right amount of texture.

Gotta love a girl with a good set of coffee mugs and a couple B Vintage blue birds ❤️ Mugs are from Chapters

The bathroom is a beautiful balance of contemporary fixtures mixed with salvaged items. The B Vintage barn wood ladder is perfect for holding towels.

She has made the playroom so fun for the kiddos, yet very appealing for any age group using bold black and white patterns and hits of gold throughout. Who wouldn’t want to hide out in that teepee!

The large laundry area is done in clean, crisp whites and is such a bright area. Makes doing that dirty work much more enjoyable.
