Candied Christmas Pecans

Candied Pecans

Tis’ the season for yummy baking, chocolates and treats. These Christmas Candied Pecans are an easy go to that I make and it is a favourite of  both my friends and family each year. Watch out though, I promise you won’t be able to eat just one!!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 500 grams pecan halves

Directions

Begin by preheating the oven to 250 degrees F.

In a large bowl, mix together sugar, cinnamon, and salt.

Whisk the egg white and water together in a separate bowl until frothy. Toss the pecans in the egg white mixture. Mix sugar mixture into pecan mixture until pecans are coated. Spread pecans evenly onto a baking sheet.

Bake in the preheated oven, stirring every 15 minutes, until pecans are evenly browned, 1 hour.

I got tiny jars at the local Dollarama and wrapped them up in burlap and fresh greens for that cozy old fashioned Christmas feel.

Enjoy and try to save some for your friends. ❤️
